Windy Lodge Hotel and Beach Resort in Winneba has supported the printing of the Field Officer’s Manual (FOM) for the 2021 Population and Housing Census. Windy Lodge provided funds for the printing of 1,000 copies of the FOM to be used for the training of Regional Trainers. Ghana Statistical Service will be training approximately 7,000 Regional Trainers from 17th to 26th May. The Regional Trainers will be responsible for training the Enumerators and Supervisors for the census data collection which starts 13th June with the listing of structures. The enumeration period will be from 28th June to 11th July.

The FOM will be the reference document to be used for training the Field Officers to deployed for the census exercise. The 321-page manual is the outcome of months-long collaborative efforts by key stakeholders, including management and staff of GSS, and faculty members from universities across the country. The contents of the manual are meant to equip Field Officers with all the needed information to ensure there is complete coverage and quality data during the census exercise.
