On Monday 14th June, the chalking and listing of structures commenced in all districts within the country and data has started to be synced to the server. National Monitors have also been deployed to the field as an additional layer of supervision and monitoring to complement the work of the Regional and District Data Quality Management Teams. Census Management has also set up a situation room and daily briefings at the Census Secretariat to facilitate real-time data monitoring and timely correction of errors from the field.
Enumerators will locate every structure and write a unique serial number on the walls to identify each one during the listing phase. The structure number is very important for achieving comprehensive complete enumeration of all persons in Ghana. All persons are urged to call the census call centre (0800 426 426) if the structure in which they live is not numbered by 20th June.
