Training of provisioning team commences
A three-day training of 60 prospective personnel to man the assembly line for the provisioning of tablets for the 2021 PHC has commenced. The training is being organised by the IT Assets sub-unit of the Information Technology and Data Processing workstream.The provisioning of tablets is an key preparatory activity to be completed within the next two months.
Provisioning involves the process of uploading all the materials that need to be loaded on the tablets for training and data collection. These materials include static and interactive maps, the Field Officer's manual, the field operations handbook and the CSPro application which is to be used for data capture. Due to the number of tablets involved, the process has been automated to make it faster and more efficient.
The training will involve lectures and hands-on practical sessions to equip trainees with the skills for tablet provisioning. At the end of the training, there will be assessments to select the most qualified trainees
